Role: Financial Director
Location: Mexico City or surrounding area, with regular time on‑site in Valle de Bravo, Mexico

Overview
Wills Wing is an expanding manufacturing business serving international clients from a production base in Mexico with a US holding company. We’re hiring a Financial Director to build and run the finance function end‑to‑end and sit as a senior member of the management team.
You will have 10+ years’ experience in accounting and finance, be comfortable in a growing manufacturing environment, and be able to move between hands‑on detail and strategic guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial leadership and strategy
- Act as financial partner to the Chairman, CEO and management team.
- Lead budgets, rolling forecasts, and scenario analysis.
- Define and track KPIs for profitability, cash, and operational performance.
- Treasury, cashflow and working capital
- Own daily and weekly cashflow management and treasury operations.
- Optimise working capital, including debtor and creditor management.
- Oversee inventory levels so cash and stock are in balance.
- Inventory, costing and manufacturing finance
- Oversee inventory controls, regular stock‑takes, and reconciliations.
- Develop and maintain product costing and margin analysis.
- Work closely with production to improve gross margins.
- Management reporting and group consolidation
- Deliver timely, accurate monthly management accounts.
- Produce clear reporting packs for management and the Board.
- Lead group consolidation across entities and support investor reporting.
- Statutory, tax and compliance (MX and US context)
- Coordinate statutory filings and tax compliance for Mexico and the US holding company, working with advisers.
- Ensure consistent accounting policies and robust internal controls.
- Support intercompany, transfer pricing and cross‑border tax structure.
- Banking, reconciliations and payment gateways
- Oversee AP, AR, payroll and expense processing.
- Ensure regular reconciliations of all bank accounts, credit cards and Stripe / other payment gateways.
- Strengthen order‑to‑cash processes and revenue recognition.
- Team, systems and continuous improvement
- Build and lead a small, high‑calibre finance team in Valle de Bravo.
- Improve finance systems, reporting tools and documented processes.
- Drive a culture of accuracy, ownership and commercial thinking.
Candidate Profile
- Experience
- 10+ years’ progressive experience in accounting and finance, including time in or overseeing a manufacturing or industrial business.
- Proven track record in treasury and cashflow management, inventory and cost accounting, management reporting, statutory filings and group consolidation.
- Experience with international operations, multi‑currency and payment gateways (ideally Stripe).
- Familiarity with US reporting and compliance standards (e.g. US GAAP context at holding‑company level).
- Education and skills
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
- Professional accounting qualification preferred (CPA, CA, ACCA, CIMA or local equivalent).
- Strong technical accounting, modelling and Excel / spreadsheet skills.
- Comfortable with finance systems and integrations (accounting, ERP, inventory, payment gateways).
- Strong written and spoken English, with fluency in Spanish.
- Clear communicator who can work closely with production, commercial and leadership teams.
